How much will you save?
At RM0.4443/kWh. Solar saving depends on sunshine; the electric backup covers the rest.
With about 80% of heat from the sun, a family of four saves around RM67 a month, or about RM803 a year, compared with electric heaters. Savings are higher in sunny months and lower in the monsoon season.

Running and maintenance costs
On sunny days the system needs no electricity at all. In wet weeks the backup element runs more, so expect higher bills during the monsoon than in the dry season. Maintenance is minimal: rinse dust and leaves off the glass when needed, and have the relief valve and backup element checked every year or two. Pecol supplies spare parts and servicing for its solar systems.
Payback and lifespan
Because the fuel (sunlight) is free, payback depends mainly on how much hot water you use and the electricity rate. Larger families pay back faster. Built with SS304 stainless steel, a zincalume casing and robotic welding, the system is designed for a long, low-maintenance life.
